There is a reason why over 40% of all households in the United States have a dog as a part of the family. These lovable creatures are truly man’s best friend. The Zoe who is skinny, Chelsea will eat almost anything, except bread and butter and shrimp, the fat one Zoe is a hell bent on wheels she makes you break up all her food into pieces and slowly ease it into her mouth. Many people underestimate the importance of feeding good dog food. I underestimated it until I started working at a pet store and learned the different things that make up dog food. First off, good dog food should include three different types of meat sources. This could include chicken, lamb, fish, venison, bison, fowl, or several other options. Next you want to make sure that the meat is truly the type of meat you want in their. Any meat-by-product means it is the scraps left on a bone after the good meat is taken. This has little nutritional value to your dog. Also, anything that says meal after it is great. Chicken meal versus chicken just means that meal is added to the ingredients after the meat is cooked, so all the water and excess weight is no longer factored into the weight of the meat. Chicken by itself would be added to the ingredients list before it is cooked, and then loose weight and move down the ingredient list after being cooked. You also want to make sure your dog food is free of fillers such as corn, simple carbohydrates, and an overabundance of fruits and vegetables. Corn is equally difficult for dogs to digest as it is for us. It only creates spikes and dips in the dogs energy level, and has no real benefit besides filling their stomach. Complex carbohydrates take longer to break down which results in a much more consistent energy level. Fruits and veggies are good for your dog, but if they are at a ratio close to or higher than meat and protein sources, then your dog is not receiving the nutrients he needs.

In the recent past, bed bugs have become a major in most countries in the developed world. My girlfriend has some type of fancy small dog kind of like a Chihuahua only with more fur.  It is a super hyper dog and drives me crazy with its constant barking.  My girlfriend refuses to discipline it for barking even though it bothers her some times.  So for Valentines day I got her a nice necklace and a citronella collar for her dog.  It was the funniest thing to watch the first dozen times it tried to bark with the new collar on. 

I tried to train my puppy at home and used a lot of helpful information that I found online, however, that didn’t seem to work out for me so well. So, I decided to take Puppy Training to a whole new level and did so by taking my puppy to a special school filled with instructors that know how to train dogs the right way. Things have been going great so far and I don’t see that changing in the near future.
